At Expat Counseling Center, we’re committed to helping our clients find the right support — even if it’s not directly within our team.
That’s why we also collaborate with a small network of trusted affiliate therapists: experienced professionals who work independently from our practice, but whom we confidently recommend. These therapists share our values and professional standards, and often have expertise in working with internationals and cross-cultural issues.
While they are not employees or direct members of our team, they may be listed on our website as recommended professionals for individual, couples, or specialised therapy or coaching.
Sonmi Son
As a third-generation Korean born and raised in Japan, I've always been drawn to diverse cultures. After living in Australia, the US, Korea, and the UK, I relocated to the Netherlands with my partner and daughter. While moving to a new country presents challenges like cultural differences, language barriers, and building new relationships, it's also an exciting experience.
